A specialized unit in raising awareness and advocating for the issues and rights of PWDs on local and public levels, in addition to contributing towards more inclusive laws and regulations.

Main Roles

• Raise awareness and build the capacities of PWDs, their families, and the local community.
• Raise public awareness through media initiatives and campaigns on disability rights and issues.
• Support the creation of self-help groups of empowered PWDs, and build their capacities to advocate for their rights and issues.
• Coordinate, partner and participate in national efforts to support the rights of PWDs.
• Mainstream disability rights and issues in the agendas of public and private institutions and organizations.
• Draft reports, studies, and other material that focus on PWDs’ rights and issues.
• Contribute to mainstreaming PWDs’ causes and rights in national laws, policies and sectorial strategies.
