Delegation from Secours Populaire Visits BASR

This March, a delegation from Secours populaire visited BASR as part of their continuous strategic partnership. SPF’s visit lasted for a week and aimed at working closely with the mental health unit at CBR Program at BASR. The visit also aimed at exploring other interventions by the CBR, including economic empowerment, education, and vocational training, especially in community centers that CBR supervises. In specific, the delegation visited Tamkeen community center in Husan, which Secours Populaire has been historically supporting. Tamkeen works with people with disabilities in the fields of vocational training and mental health.

In addition, several visits to self-employment projects were conducted in various Palestinian governorates, in which CBR has supported. Moreover, the delegation visited a vocational training center that the CBR worked with to mainstream disability issues in their policies, plans and programs. During these visits, the delegation met and spoke with people with disabilities and their families and the impact of the CBR work on their lives.
