Al Amal School and Center – Ibaidiyyeh, Bethlehem

Al-Amal School and center is one of the community centers that is technically supervised by the Community-based Rehabilitation (CBR) Program in Bethlehem Arab Society for Rehabilitation (BASR). The center was established in 2002 through joint cooperation between the Local Association for Rehabilitation – Ibaidiyyeh and BASR. It was established with the aim of creating a space for children with disabilities, especially those with intellectual disabilities, in the Ibaidiyyeh area, so that an educational school environment is provided in addition to rehabilitation and developmental interventions. Today, the center includes special education classes and rehabilitation interventions, in addition to an inclusive school, a sensory room, and provides speech therapy interventions, and psychological and social support for children with disabilities from the ages of 4-15.
