In light of the efforts of the Community-Based Rehabilitation Program (CBR) at Bethlehem Arab Society for Rehabilitation to enhance the opportunities for persons with disabilities (PWDs) to access their various rights on an equal basis with others, and based on the Community-Based Inclusive Development (CBID) approach, the partnership agreement was renewed on 01-11-2022 between the CBR and the Local Association for Rehabilitation – Ibaidiyyeh, Al-Amal School and Center, in Bethlehem Governorate.
This was done in the presence of Mr. Mahran Al-Taweel – Director of Programs and Development at BASR and Mr. Osama Al-Hassasneh, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Local Association for Rehabilitation, with the aim of emphasizing cooperation between the two parties and enhancing efforts aimed at developing the reality of PWDs and enhancing their access to rights and to specialized and general services. There was an agreement on a mechanism for organizing CBID interventions in the Ibaidiyyeh area, through agreeing to appoint a CBR worker for the area at the Al-Amal Center, who in turn works to facilitate the access of PWDs to mental health, rehabilitation, economic empowerment and social protection interventions, in addition to providing inclusive education services at the Center.
